Cleveland, OH - Baywest Construction Group, Inc. (Westlake,
Ohio) was the recipient of two major construction awards on
Friday, November 14, 2004. The event was the Northern Ohio
Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc.’s
annual Excellence in Construction Awards for 2004 recognizing
excellence in "Merit Construction" held in Broadview Heights,
Ohio.
Baywest received the 2004 Award of Merit for the exterior
renovation of the Boy Scout Service Center in Cleveland, OH.
Receiving the awards were Michael Marron Sr., President of
Baywest, Kenn Miller, Scout Executive, and Dave Truax, Director
of Support Services for the Greater Cleveland Council, Boy
Scouts of America.

The ABC chapter also, presented Baywest with the prestigious
"2004 Diamond Safety Award-General Contractor" for an
unprecedented third year in a row. Baywest is an "OSHA Preferred
Partner".

BAYWEST WITH TOP HONORS
Cleveland, OH -
Baywest Construction Group, Inc. (Westlake, Ohio) was the recipient
of four major construction awards on Friday, November 21, 2003. The
event was the Northern Ohio Chapter of the Associated Builders and
Contractors, Inc.’s annual Excellence in Construction Awards for
2003 recognizing excellence in “Merit Construction” held at the
Hilton South in Independence, Ohio.
Baywest received the 2003 Award of Merit (under $2 million category)
for the construction of the Atlantis Professional Center, a
two-story medical building located in Parma, OH. Receiving the
awards were Michael Marron Sr. with Baywest, Dr. John Kostoglou,
owner, and George Papandreas, developer, with Profile Development
Group.
Baywest, also, received the 2003 Award of Excellence (under $2
million category) for the construction of the Cleveland Bop Stop,
Cleveland’s Premier Jazz Club, located in Ohio City. The highlight
of the evening was when Ohio’s Secretary of State, Kenneth Blackwell
presented Baywest the 2003 President’s Cup - Project of the Year for
the same project for an unprecedented third year in a row. Receiving
the awards were Michael Marron, Sr., President and Dean Rankin,
Senior Project Manager with Baywest, Ron Busch, owner/partner and
noted Cleveland jazz musician and Doug Wahl for Visio Architects.
Darlene Fossum, Assistant Area Director of the Construction Team for
OSHA and the ABC chapter presented Baywest and Margie Bibbs,
Baywest’s Safety Director, with the “Diamond Safety Award-General
Contractor” for an unprecedented second year in a row. Baywest is an
“OSHA Preferred Partner”.
Judging was done by the ABC Central Ohio Chapter which evaluated the
use of innovative programs, project management, quality control,
scheduling, value engineering, dollar value, special obstacles
overcome, degree of difficulty in completing the project, project
safety and ABC member involvement.
Baywest Construction Group, Inc. is a commercial general contracting
and construction management firm. They specialize in office, retail
and restaurant construction. Baywest has received nine major
construction awards in its three and one half years of operation.

2002. The event was the Northern Ohio Chapter of the Associated Builders
and Contractors, Inc.’s annual Excellence in Construction Awards for
2002 recognizing excellence in “Merit Construction” held at the Hilton
South in Independence, Ohio.
Baywest received the 2002 Award of Excellence in the commercial
construction $2 to $3 million category for the construction of the
40,000 square foot Jamestown Professional Building located in Westlake,
Ohio. In addition Baywest received the ABC chapter’s most prestigious
award for an unprecedented second year in a row, the President’s Cup -
Project of the Year for the same project.
Receiving the awards for Baywest were Michael
Marron, Sr., President and Dean Rankin, Senior Project Manager. Also
receiving the awards for the owner were Joseph Hammerschmidt and his
three sons Steve, Greg and Chris, representing Jamestown, LLC (Westlake,
OH)
Judging was done by the ABC Central Ohio Chapter which evaluated the use
of innovative programs, project management, quality control, scheduling,
value engineering, dollar value, special obstacles overcome, degree of
difficulty in completing the project, project safety and ABC member
involvement. Baywest is now eligible and will be entered in the 2002 ABC
National Excellence in Construction Awards held at the 53rd Annual ABC
National Convention in San Diego, CA.
To highlight the evening Rob Medlock, Cleveland Area Director for OSHA
and the ABC chapter presented Baywest with the “Diamond Safety Award”.
Baywest is the first contractor to receive this award in the State of
Ohio. Baywest is also an “OSHA Preferred Partner”.

Northern Ohio Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc.’s
annual Excellence in Construction Awards for 2001 recognizing
excellence in “Merit Shop” construction held at the Hilton South in
Independence, Ohio.
Baywest
received the 2001
Award of Excellence in the commercial construction $2 to $3 million
category for the construction of the Red Tail Golf Clubhouse
located in Avon, Ohio. In addition Baywest received the ABC
chapter’s most prestigious award, The President’s Cup – 2001 Project of
the Year
for the same project.
Receiving the awards for Baywest
were Michael Marron, Sr., President and Dean Rankin, Senior Project
Manager. Also receiving the awards for the owner were Mary Khouri and
Samuel J. Khouri representing Red Tail Golf, LLC and Carnegie Management &
Development Corp. (Westlake, OH) and for the architect, Bill Davison,
representing Davison Smith Certo, Architects, Inc. (Westlake, OH).
Judging was done by the

value, special obstacles overcome, degree of difficulty in completing the
project, project safety and ABC member involvement.

Louisiana.
